| Prevention is the best way to fight fire. In addition to fires, members of the Ithaca community can sometimes be exposed to other hazards such as thin ice, hazardous gorge trails which are closed, electrical hazards, exposure to hazardous chemicals, carbon monoxide, environmental emergencies such as extreme heat or extreme cold, dangerous waterways, etc. Below, we will list many of these potential hazards and will provide links to information which can help you remain safe.
