This ladder is a 1995 Saulsbury/HME/LTI 105' rear mount aerial ladder. The cab and body are of stainless steel construction. The aerial is a SIMON/LADDER TOWERS 105 foot QH-105 four section steel aerial. It is complete with 120 volt and 12 volt and breathing air at the aerial tip. The aerial device may be operated from either the turntable pedestal or the tip of the aerial. Tip controls are at a reduced speed for fire fighter safety. We also equipped it with the rotation limiter system to prevent apparatus tip over in a short jacked situation. This system limits the rotation of the aerial device ONLY to the side fully jacked. The truck carries a compliment of ground ladders in excess of the NFPA recommendation, as well as a self contained Onan fixed generator and a portable generator, both of which are able to power the apparatus electrical system. There is also a four bottle air cascade system in addition to the two cylinders on the aerial device for tip air. The remainder of the equipment is generally NFPA compliant and other additional equipment that we use for high angle rope and water rescue. The truck is powered by a Detroit Diesel Series 60, inline 6 cylinder 450 horse power with an Allison World series automatic transmission, and a Telma electromagnetic drive line retarder.
